Regional Manager Latin America
Benito has responsibility for driving performance and maintaining partnerships within our Latin America Markets.
Benito brings 25 years of experience in the Latin America Telecommunication business supporting Cellular Manufactures, Distributors and MNOs. Prior Joining Bima, Benito has led the commercial organizations for Motorola, Brightstar and Celistics with increasing responsibilities in sales, strategy and business development.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic degree from Universidad Javeriana, Bogota, Colombia and an Masters in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University, Plantation, Florida
Regional Technology and Infrastructure Manager
Diego has responsibility for managing our Latin American market operations.
Diego has previous experience working as a project manager and consultant in Latin America and the U.S. Prior to joining BIMA, Diego worked for Xerox Business Services as a project manager for Global Service Operations and Engineering managing projects and engagements throughout the U.S. He also previously worked as a project consultant for Pantaleon Sugar Holdings supporting the company’s international expansion throughout Central America.
Diego holds an MBA from IE Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio Texas.
Regional Product Manager
Angela has overall strategic and operational responsibility for our Honduras business.
Prior to joining BIMA, Angela worked in Tigo Honduras (Millicom) Commercial team, developing the mobile internet category through the penetration of smartphones and the accessibility of digital services in the Honduran emerging market.
Angela also previously worked for Avianca Airlines in the Revenue Management area, where she managed company’s strategic projects aimed to improve the operating profitability of the airline in the Central and south American markets.
Business Development Manager Latin America
Eliseo is Business Development Manager at BIMA for Latin American Markets. Before joining BIMA, Eliseo has formerly launched innovative projects in Latam, US and Europe.
Eliseo has also previously worked for 2 ½ years as a strategic consultant at BCG, and is experienced in M&A and valuation due diligences from independent projects.
Trained in consumer research techniques, Eliseo uses them to help him understand client’s motivations and triggers before approaching a new market or endeavor.
Eliseo holds an MBA from MIT, a Master’s Degree on Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor in Law. Among other awards and scholarships, Eliseo is recipient of Startup Chile, Caja Madrid Foundation, ICADE’s Business Club, Madrid Government Excellence Scholarship and Carlos III Excellence Award.
Additionally Eliseo is actively involved with spreading the spirit of entrepreneurship as a way to fight poverty. He participates in various projects with Endeavor and other charity organizations.
Juan Esteban Venegas
Regional Business Analyst and Operations Manager LATIN AMERICA
Juan is responsible for improving business and operating metrics in the different Latin American markets by providing and implementing strategies through the analysis of data received from our local partners and BIMAs own information systems.
Prior to joining BIMA, Juan worked for one of Colombia’s biggest call centers for a period of five years where he was responsible for operations with over 600 agents. Juan has broad experience with data analysis and has previously worked in this area as an independent consultant and as part of Amadeus IT Group in Madrid, Spain.
Juan has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota Colombia and a Master’s degree in International Management from IE Business School in Madrid Spain.
Tomas has overall strategic and operational responsibility for our Paraguay business.
Prior to joining BIMA, Tomas worked in Millicom marketing team, implementing customer segmentation in several African and Latin American countries. He has a broad experience from consulting and economic modelling. Working at Nera Economic Consulting and The Boston Consulting Group, he advised clients from retail, telecommunications and energy sectors. He also gained expertise in the insurance industry, working in the market management department of Allianz for Central & Eastern Europe.
Tomas holds a BSc from Economics from Charles University in Prague and a MSc. in Money and Finance from Frankfurt University.
Limber has overall strategic and operational responsibilities for sales in Paraguay.
Limber has over thirteen years of experience in sales, distribution and management of corporate accounts, in areas related to quality of life, health and telecommunications. Before joining BIMA, he was responsible for developing new sales force to technology and communication products, developing procedures commensurate in Paraguay and El Salvador (Central America). Limber was also in charge of the department distribution in the second most important region for Tigo Paraguay. Previous roles include purely commercial functions.
Limber has Commercialization Engineering studies at the School of the North in Asuncion, as specializations in terms of sales management.
Business Development Manager
Osvaldo is responsible for the design and development of new products in Paraguay, as well as initiate new strategic alliances with local financial institutions.
Before joining BIMA, Osvaldo was developer of new corporate business in Mapfre Paraguay where he acquired experience in the insurance market and microinsurance. Also has experience in telecoms companies as Tigo (Millicom group) and Claro (America Movil group) where he acquired experience in corporate business development.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the National University of Asunción and course Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Asuncion.
Michael has overall strategic and operational responsibility for our Haitian business.
Michael joins BIMA from Digicel, where he was Senior Product Manager responsible for Digicel’s portfolio of value-added services. Prior to that Michael was Finance Director of a Haitian holding group and Senior Analyst of JP Morgan & Chase in Wall Street.
Michael is from NYC, he speaks English, French, Creole. He holds a B.S. of Economics and Finance from Niagara University.
Alexandra joined BIMA in 2017, she was born in Haiti and raised in New Jersey. As the Finance Manager, she is responsible for the Haiti branch finance across the business.
Alexandra has over 10 years of experience in the field of numerous finance/accounting departments working within great corporations like; Canon, Heinz North America, Verizon Wireless, World Water, Solar Technology Corp, and dloHaiti Inc.
She completed her college and university career respectively majoring in business administration and accounting from Mercer County and Rider University.
Charles is responsible for coordinating the mobile agents in Haiti.
Before joining BIMA, Charles was a Marketing Agent at Unicarte, where he gained experience of working on the field. Charles has also worked at Amerijet Inc. Co MESDHASA as an Import Warehouse Manager.
Operations & Public Relations Manager
Enoch is in charge of customer service agents, claimants, investigators and the social media team. He is also in charge of public relations and everything that surrounds the visibility of the company in the Haitian market.
Enoch studied Economics at Quisqueya University.
Jean Paul Melin
Jean Paul has overall strategic and operational responsibility for our Honduras business.
Jean Paul brings in 18 years of experience as a Commercial & Go to Market Management, Territory Management, New Business Startup, Business Development in industries such as Telecommunications, Insurance & Real State for markets in Central America and South America. His principal achievements have been Mobile Money New Business start up, Implementing Distribution Management System, Channel Management matrixed with Territory Management, Merger & Acquisition Change Management.
Prior to joining BIMA, Jean Paul worked for companies such as Millicom, Bellsouth, Allianz, GVT.
Jean Paul holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering, BA in Marketing and MBA form Universidad Del Norte in Colombia.
New Business Manager
Fabiola as New Business Manager for Honduras is responsible for the design and development of new products and quality control monitoring. In addition, she is in charge of managing product development with local insurance providers.
Before joining BIMA, Fabiola was a senior underwriter manager for Accident and Health for AIG Central America. She was in charge of product development, financial profitability, risk selection and management and broker management relationships. She managed both Accident, Health and Life insurance for Guatemala and Honduras. She has extensive experience in product development and management and in developing micro insurance programs.
She holds a degree in industrial Engineering from the National University of Honduras and a Master Degree in Project Management from the European University Miguel de Cervantes.
Nick Abbott has spent 18 years’ as an operational manager and consultant in sales and customer service for organizations in the UK, Canada, the USA and Jamaica. His key initiatives have included centralizing payroll support for the 98,000 US based of General Electric reducing costs by more than $1million per year while improving all employee satisfaction metrics; he also improved internal IT support at Goldman Sachs’ New York offices through the introduction of a single help desk system.
Nick is a certified adult instructor and a Six Sigma Green Belt. Previously he was an officer in the Royal Air Force and he is a graduate of the Royal Air Force College Cranwell where he later spent 3 years as a Leadership Instructor. Nick is a citizen and resident of Jamaica.
Hilary joined BIMA Jamaica in 2017 as Operations Manager.
In this capacity, she is responsible for the overall management of the sales, claims and customer service.
Hilary has 10 years of experience in the Telecommunication industry. She is a seasoned operations professional with significant experience in customer service, retail sales, dispatch operations and developing business processes.
Hilary is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, majoring in Economics & a minor in Political Science.
Alexis joined BIMA in 2016 as Country Manager, El Salvador.
Alexis has a wide background in investments as Vice-President at The Network Company, an investment firm from El Salvador and as Associate at the Corinthian Capital Group, a New York PE, participating in the investment of over 250M USD.
Previously Alexis has worked as a Strategic & Development Director at Omnisport, a leading retailer in El Salvador as well as Director at FEDAPE, a non-profit organization to promote education in El Salvador, and Founder Partner at Emprende Inversiones, a project focused on fostering entrepreneurship in Central America.
Alexis holds a business degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from MIT.
Roberto is the Sales Manager for our El Salvador business.
Roberto has over 7 years of experience in customer service, customer satisfaction and team development for the Call Centre industry: before joining BIMA, he was responsible of Quality Assurance for Avianca Airlines’ Call Center in El Salvador. Prior to that he worked at Telus International as part of the Quality Department for Zynga Games.
Roberto is coursing a Bachelor of Business Administration at ESI School of Management.
Mitar joined BIMA in 2016 as our Nicaragua Country Manager. Mitar is a microfinance and development finance expert with nine years at an international German-based banking and microfinance group.
Prior to joining BIMA Mitar was the Director of Digital Business Development for Telefonica in Ecuador.
Mitar has two Master's degrees, in Banking Administration and Responsible Banking (from Germany and Spain), and a post-graduate diploma from Harvard Business School (Disruptive Strategy with Prof. Clayton Christensen).
Fatima joined BIMA Nicaragua in November 2017, and she plays a key role, leading all our commercial operations.
Before BIMA, Fatima worked at Nestrix, a BPO company with very important local accounts and campaigns, where she spent last 8 years, and grew from a Sales Agent, all the way to a Campaign Manager, where she had 130 people on her telemarketing team. She also has strong experience in the financial sector, and especially insurance sales where she managed a bancassurance inside sales team.
Fatima has a BA in Marketing from Universidad Politecnica de Nicaragua.
